"Be Seen. Be Heard. Be You."
"As an LPC Associate, I have the unique advantage of working closely with a Board-Approved Supervisor, Sarah Quinn, LPC-S. This means that while I work directly with you, our progress is supported by the oversight of a veteran clinician with over years of experience. This collaborative approach ensures you receive the highest standard of ethical and clinical care."
My Journey to Counseling
My path to becoming a counselor wasn't traditional, but it was deeply intentional. It began during my first deployment to Iraq as a U.S. Marine. In the midst of that experience, I saw firsthand the profound need for mental health support and the strength it takes to ask for help. That environment taught me the value of resilience, loyalty, and the human capacity to endure.
After my service, I felt called to serve in a different capacity: the classroom. As an elementary teacher, I have spent years witnessing the emotional development of children and the challenges families face in a fast-paced world. This "boots-on-the-ground" experience in both the military and the education system has shaped me into a counselor who understands both the complexities of trauma and the importance of early emotional support.
Who I Work With
Because of my background, I feel a natural kinship with those navigating high-stress environments and major life transitions. I specialize in working with:
Veterans and First Responders: Navigating the transition to civilian life and processing service-related stress.
Children and Adolescents: Helping young people manage anxiety, school-related stress, and emotional regulation.
Parents and Educators: Supporting those who are "poured out" by their roles and need tools for their own well-being.
The Impact of Our Work Together
I believe that therapy should be a place where you don't have to "tough it out" alone. My goal is to provide a grounded, non-judgmental space where we can tackle the hard stuff together.
Whether you are a fellow veteran looking for someone who "gets it," or a parent concerned about your child’s well-being, my services are designed to provide clarity, coping strategies, and a renewed sense of hope. We will work at your pace to turn past challenges into future strengths.
